Hello and welcome - I’m Sophie

I’m a qualified English language tutor with a background in education and over 10 years of experience in corporate recruitment. I now work with professionals who want to speak English confidently and naturally in real-life situations.

My background

Before moving into teaching, I spent a decade working in recruitment, interviewing and assessing candidates across a wide range of industries. This experience gave me a clear understanding of what employers look for and how important communication is in professional success.

I saw first-hand how talented individuals could miss opportunities simply because they didn’t feel confident expressing themselves in English. That’s what led me to focus on helping learners not just improve their English but use it effectively when it matters most.

Qualifications & experience

I hold a degree in Sociology, a postgraduate qualification in Education (PGCE), and I am TEFL qualified. I have taught in UK schools as well as online, working with both adults and younger learners.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy travelling and staying active. I bring that same energy into my lessons - keeping them engaging, positive, and focused on helping you feel comfortable and confident.
